| Iraq War veteran and NY-26 Democratic candidate Jon Powers has issued this statement regarding the retirement of Tom Reynolds.
"Tom Reynolds' retirement puts us one step closer to the goal of bringing real change to Washington, DC. My campaign of bringing new leadership to Washington on behalf of Western New Yorkers keeps gaining momentum. Ours is a campaign built on hope. On the belief that we can change Washington and bring a new era of accountability in which we create a platform on which jobs can grow here in Western New York rather than reward big corporations that ship them overseas; in which our health care policy serves the people, not the politicians and insurance companies; and government only sends our soldiers to war with a defined mission and clear strategy." |
