Albany County Legislator and Dem candidate Phil Steck reports a total of $205,807 raised. $153,864 is cash on hand, with $50,000 coming as a loan from Steck.
Former Hillary Clinton aide and Democrat Tracey Brooks reports $178,373 in total funds raised; $153,498 is cash on hand. And she's provided no personal loans or gifts to her campaign.
Republican and fuel company owner James Buhrmaster has reported $107,600 in total receipts - $100,000 of it a loan from himself. He's spent little from his earnings, having $107,108 cash on hand.
Gary Mittleman, former Plug Power CEO and Democrat, logs in at $104,352 - also with a $100,000 of it a loan from himself. He's already spent about half, leaving $51,608 cash on hand.
Update: We failed to mention Democrat and former Kirsten Gillibrand aide Darius Shahinfar with the original post (innocent omission). Shahinfar claimed $83,212 in receipts, with $83,108 cash on hand. He too made a personal loan, of $51,742.
A campaign filing couldn't be found for Democrat and city employee Lester Freeman. Republican candidate Steven Vasquez hasn't started fundraising yet, which is the same for Democratic candidates John Aretakis and Arthur Welser.
This is still a wide open race. Steck had a great quarter, along with Brooks. Shahinfar did quite well also. So this isn't over and it won't be over for awhile.
