| David Sirota will be participating in two events today and tomorrow to promote his new book, The Uprising: An Unauthorized Tour of the Populist Revolt Scaring Wall Street and Washington.
Tonight, Sirota will be joined by Air America's Sam Seder at an event hosted by Democratic Leadership for the 21st Century. The event will take place beginning at 6:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:00) at Red Sky. Red Sky is located at 47 E. 29th Street between Park and Madison Avenues.
Then tomorrow Sirota will be at The Strand (828 Broadway) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. for a panel discussion on The Uprising and its look at New York. The panel discussion will feature Sirota, Sen. Eric Schneiderman, Joel Barkin of Progressive States, Andrea Batista Schlesinger of the Drum Major Institute and Dan Cantor, who serves as the executive director for the Working Families Party. The event is sponsored by Progressive States, DMI and the Working Families Party.
If you can make both, great. But try to make at least one of these great events to meet David and to learn more about The Uprising. It is a terrific book and I am certain that both these events will be excellent.
I will be at the event tomorrow at the Strand. I hope to meet many TAP readers there and have an interesting discussion about David's book. |
