More From Great Neck HQ

The scuttlebutt here is that turnout in Port Washington, Craig's home turf is much better than expected. The Great Neck area has been canvassed to death and some crews are hitting neighborhoods for the third and fourth time. New state party C-Chair Dave Pollak just walked in the door and picked up a stack of door hangers. He's about to hit the streets.

I have to say that I am amazed at the sheer volume of folks who have been through this office today. It's pretty amazing to watch all these people coming back for more lit and a cup of hot coffee over and over again. I've seen at least 100 different people come through these doors in the past 3 hours or so. Seriously.

The word from the canvassers are that there are very, very few folks on the street for O'Connell.

Here's some pics from Great Neck HQ:

I'm feeling better and better about this race.

Great work and great pictures (4.00 / 2)
As said in my other comment.

I love that converted Baskin-Robbins.

The colors, the weird ceiling fans... haha.

Looks like that place is really jumping... I've maybe, maybe seen it like that once right before we sent all of the GOTV people out the door the morning of, but thats smack in the middle of the day and you have tons of people there.

Thanks for the post and great work.

Great work! (4.00 / 2)
I wonder who Bill-O is voting for... lol, probably Maureen.

I felt the energy on Saturday.  All of the progressive grassroots energy in the state is focused on winning this one race.  The remaining Republican establishment in the state clearly depends entirely on the deep pockets of Joe Bruno and his bought-off donors.  Special elections can bring out the best - and the worst - in people.
