DL21C's Eye on '08 Series presents
Late Night with Gov. Mark Warner, Candidate for US Senate (D-VA) Governor Warner will speak about Virginia's importance as a swing state in the Presidential race, his vision for the Senate, his decision not to pursue a spot on the 2008 national ticket, and much more.
Joining us earlier in the evening will be two Congressional candidates from red-to-blue, swing districts: NYC's Michael McMahon, who is running for Vito Fossella's open Staten Island seat, and Tom Perriello, who is challenging Virgil Goode in Virginia (Charlottesville/central VA). DL21C will be heading out to help these and other campaigns this fall, so it's a great chance to meet the candidates one-on-one!

This should be a great event. I have split feelings about McMahon compared to Steve Harrison (the real progressive in the race), but I'll be excited to hear Councilman McMahon speak and this type of event and hopefully we'll be able to draw out some information about his national policy plans.
In general, this should be a great event! |
