Governor Paterson Wowing Them on Daily Kos

Patterson is done. I guess those wowed by him aren't about to watch their property taxes go through the roof as he eliminates aid to local government and schools. Which will cause teacher and staff layoffs and raise my kid's class size.

This is the Cristine Whitman playbook from her first term in Trenton. Other than the super rich, NJ'ers saw their total tax bills explode under this system.

He is so afraid of Suozzi that he's become a bigger Republican wannabe than him. I never thought I'd think that Dean Skelos is the rationale one of this crew.

I'm certainly on record, both here and over there, as supporting some different options for dealing with our very substantial budget issues.  But, Paterson was, overall, a huge hit with the DKos crew.

People are very bad at making the connection between state spending cuts and higher local taxes. Paterson will not be blamed.

If people made that connection, than the D's in the Senate and the Rs in the Assembly wouldn't have spent the last 30 years trying to cut state aid for schools, and the Rs wouldn't be be trying to cut Medicaid.
