Steve Levy repents

I find all of this to simply be crocodile tears -- I'll believe Levy's words when he actually reaches out to Assemblyman Ramos and really begins to concretely deal in a substantive manner with all of the citizens of Long Island - including the Hispanic community.

I hope that Levy will take to heart the words of that great New Yorker Emma Lazarus:

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command

This is all Mr. Lucero wanted -- to work hard and support his family -- here
to the hope that America can once again be America a beacon to all who are "yearning to breathe free."
