Not Geithner (0.00 / 0)

I don't want him replacing Geithner. I want him to replace Larry Summers. I've heard Krugman say he can't administer anything so he wouldn't be good at Treasury, but I think Summers' position is more about making policy, and Krugman would be outstanding at something like that.

That being said, there must be a good administrative type out there who could take over the Treasury Dept.

Rahm Emmanuel apparently said 'what laws has Krugman ever passed.' He's not a government guy. Can't Krugman be a policy advisor?

Krugman doesn't want to be in any administration (0.00 / 0)

he has no interest in serving in the government, which is my main problem with him...criticisim is good, but when you have people who are saying "Hey you should be making policy" he craps out.

Doesn't have to just listen to Krugman, most economists agree-- Swedish solution=work, Japanese solution=decade of pain and fail.
