NY-20: Dem Performance Map

The ever awesome ScottInNJ has this map of Dem performance today versus 2006. Why? Because he rocks.

Adds Scott:

Murphy balanced out Tedisco's gains in Rensselear and Saratoga Counties by winning big in the three counties north of Saratoga and by keeping Delaware County surprisingly close.

Nice work on the maps (4.00 / 3)

Obviously we won't know who won until after April 13th at the earliest.

But this is a HUGE victory for Scott Murphy and the Democratic party regardless.

To overcome 0 name recognition and a 70,000 voter disadvantage against a well known opponent in about 6 weeks is nothing short of amazing!

It shows clearly how much better a candidate Murphy is than Tedisco. It also clearly shows how much lingering disgust there is with the Republican Party around here.

I also want to celebrate the psychological victory here. The reality right now is that New York and federal Republicans lost in a solidly Republican district with a well known candidate. How's that obstructionism working out for you? Care to run on it in 2010?

I'm really proud of Columbia. Scott won by nearly a 2000-vote margin here, and I think he'll be in pretty good shape with the absentees....

I am so proud of Delaware County. To lose it by under 100 votes while Jimmy Disco carried Saratoga, etc. is quite remarkable given Delaware County's historic voting pattern.

was the difference in Otsego...we kept it close but I would rather be blue than pink! Scott Murphy is a rising star in politics. There will be no stopping him. So proud to have worked on his campaign and with his supporters. Great job in Delaware NYTrialman keeping it close there also!!!
