According to the BoE, as of 10:00 this morning Murphy's lead had expanded to 167 votes.

The good news (as if that weren't good enough) is that Murphy leads in all five counties that haven't finished counting the paper (Columbia, Dutchess, Essex, Rensselaer and Warren). It looks like the final difference could easily top 200.

The more I think about it, my guess of 567 was probably too low, given the huge pile of challenged absentees yet to be opened. The Tedisco campaign has done us the favor of pre-sorting those ballots and identifying them as likely Murphy votes. There are 1200 or more to be counted, and Murphy is probably going to take at least 70% of them, so I'm starting to wonder if his final margin might be up there in the 800 range? In any case, I'm not lobbying for a do-over... I'll stick with 567, although it's probably way too conservative.
