The background noise is also a problem, especially for older ears. Was that sound my tinnitus, feedback, or was it supposed to be music to all ears, but that clashed with only mine? Whatever it was, it seemed to clash with Malcom's words.
Frankly, I favor visual ads and text over video, for information intake. I'm not sure how many words were there, but the average college grad reads 300-700 wpm. If a video ad doesn't capture my attention in the first 5 seconds, click and if it lasts 20 seconds, click.
Smith's words "... may not agree with you, BUT ..." are overly argumentative. I believe that was an attempt at an understatement, an effective tactic in presentation if understood and fine tuned, but that would have little value in this type of message.
