| The judicial branch didn't intervene. The Republicans are about to hold a session, claiming that the dismissal was in their favor. The Governor seems to be offering to run a leaderless session, a reprise of his days as Lieutenant Governor.
At this point, it doesn't sound to me like Republicans are willing to negotiate, though maybe time without a quorum will force them toward reality. Their coup created an unique opening in recent Albany politics, but they don't seem to recognize that their power has some immediate limits.
