Sam Scam Lets Not Duplicate (0.00 / 0)

The Sen. gives us the same scam of a PDF as last year.  A news organization needs to FOIL asking for data in electronic format.  The State FOIL law (backed up by lots of case law and State Open Government Oppinions) requires that government agencies provide the data in an electronic format if its already stored that way.

So.....Please ask for usable data.  Wasn't the AG supoped to put an end to this?

Moving from PDF to workable data can be a hard process. Lets not duplicate the work here.  If someone is going through the trouble of getting this information in a useable format, please let us know.  If someone needs some help, please let us know.

Don't sweat the small stuff (0.00 / 0)

Yeah, Bruno wants to make it as hard as possible.  We know.  But, let's not give him something to crow about next year by making it a big issue.  Liam Arbectsen of Common Cause has already put this into usable form for us, and is sharing.  If we have the info, no matter how hard it is to read, we can make it work.

And, BTW-- this version DOES NOT square with the early-release spreadsheet done by the Manhattan Institute.  Their work was either sloppy (it is mind-numbing work, so, not surprising if somebody started getting cross-eyed) or partisan... in any event, the early-version spreadsheet is inaccurate enough that it should not be used for analysis.
