| Former Senate Majority Leader Joe Bruno sought to have his federal indictment on corruption charges dropped.
He failed.
NY1 News reports that a federal judge, in a 17-page report, denied Bruno's attempt. The trial is scheduled for November.
One could wonder if the current Senate Majority Leader is any better (I know I do), and I suppose there is little comfort in the idea that at least he isn't worse. But there is hope that corrupt officials at high levels, in New York if not Washington, do eventually pay for their crimes. |
