| Once we're done celebrating Bill Owens' victory, we should take a look at the down-ticket races across the state.
Republicans won last night in Ulster, Duchess and Nassau counties. They picked up one seat in Nassau, four in Ulster, and seven in Duchess to retake all three county legislatures.
These are the people who will be running for state senate, or congress, in a few years, and some of them could win. If Democrats are going to keep this state blue, we have to restock our farm system, and we need to start now. |
