What's so special?

Today was supposed to be the long-awaited "special" or "extraordinary" session in Albany.

Nothing happened.

Seems to me that there was nothing special or extraordinary about today's session -- it was just like almost every other session.

Sent out by the governor's office, there were two - yes, that's right, two - bills passed tonight. That's it.

What a waste of a day.

I saw a lot of jabbering about Ft. Hood. No disrespect meant to the grieving, but we can all catch the Broadway production of that starring Barack Obama. You've got business to get to.

I would rather see their salary money used to employ people that would actually accomplish something; teachers, road workers, staff for health clinics, etc.
