If Norm Coleman had won, Joe Lieberman wouldn't have any power.  There would be 57 Dems, plus Sanders -- even Lieberman wouldn't be enough to stop a filibuster.

I did enjoy the smackdown, though, and also the fact that John McCain claimed he had never seen anything like it when he did it himself in 2002 -- to a senator from Minnesota.
