She even picked up endorsements from the Republican Committees of the towns of Warwick and New Windsor in New York.
But what about that $400,000, and why did she have it reported in her April 15 filing deadline as she was required to do? Well, the money seems to have turned into vapor.
A strange drama is unfolding over a congressional candidate's boast that she set a national record for House contenders by raising $401,200 in donations in six weeks.
A Republican consultant who worked with Tuxedo resident Kristia Cavere said Thursday that he asked her for a bank statement for her campaign account last weekend and that it showed considerably less money than she claimed.
The balance was $12.
There are no zeros or commas missing.
Undanted, Cavere is continuing with her campaign.
As I am very entertained by Kristia, I have several suggetions how she can spend $12 on campaign supplies:

27 handwritten postcards and postage
1 dot com domain name for a year with 1 month free basic hosting from GoDaddy.com
