This is the kind of thing that people do all the time, whether in politics or in the business world ... well, actually they don't do this in the business world much any more, because the business world knows that it's a complete waste of money. Perhaps the political strategists should learn something.
Also, by having all these candidates claim that they "passed" all those measures, they're now going to have to do it -- and some of the things they are pushing aren't necessarily all that good, while others are so nebulous that they could end up passing some really lousy legislation.
Finally, by showing these candidates as if they were already elected, they're tempting fate, which is never a good idea.
I'd keep the "I believe in New York" line, though -- that works.
That said, there's some good people here.
