SD-41: What Would you Ask Didi Barrett?

This might be a little off the wall (4.00 / 2)

But I'd be curious if she has any comparisons between her campaign and 2006.  Obviously Brian Keeler ran a very strong, grassroots effort and still came up short and I wonder if there's anything that Didi learned from that race that she thinks can help pave the road to victory.

She's raised more money than I did ... (4.00 / 1)

... and the anti incumbent mood is real.

She has a real shot.

2006 and this year are different animals. Also, that year EVERYONE in the 41st District was concentrating on getting rid of Sue Kelly and John Sweeney...and there was little energy left for the State Senate races.

My Q: What's your position on allowing SUNY (4.00 / 1)

greater control over its affairs?

How can New York Democrats reconcile sweeping the tuition increase for SUNY into the state budget last year with nixing the bill that would give SUNY more independence this year (especially since the state is defunding state education)?
