Sounds to me like he's going to run again in 2012. Bring it on, twerp.
But ain't it sweet to know he will not be in our legislature anymore?

Don't get me wrong, the thought of this craven, self-serving, ineffectual blowhard from Mamaroneck serving some time in a federal pen makes me very happy.
Just a few things I can think of off the top of my head that are better: 1.) Simply getting this embarrassment out of office. He is a blight on my community. 2.) Electing someone who honestly seems interested in reform and doing something for the district. 3.) Removing Espada from the Housing Committee of the Senate and increasing the likelihood of passage of all the bills he bottled up for his landlord puppeteers. I am sure I can think of others if I took the time.
The admittedly warm feeling I get thinking about Espada doing time pales in comparison to all these things.
I'm still riding the high from Tuesday night. Espada was not only beaten; he was eviscerated. Besides the obvious benefits we have listed, this election helps to dispel some of myths that many still hold (even in progressive circles) about the Bronx. I am sick and tired of all the snarky comments about how uncritical and easily manipulated we voters in the Bronx are. The people of my district spoke loud and clear -- when given a real choice (not like 2008) we Bronxites showed this state that we are some of the best, brightest and most beautiful people in NY!

If you click further, you see something of an update and it is clear that Gustavo Rivera is the candidate -- but Espada should not be on the "Candidate's List" in the link I provided. The voters in the 33rd made sure he is not the candidate. Remove the name!
