SD-40: Greg Ball Has an Issue with Women

by: BingChester

Fri Oct 15, 2010 at 12:57:28 PM EDT

We all know that Greg Ball has a whole hell of a lot of problems with women and Hudson Valley voters are about to get a stark reminder of this.  The video below has to be one of the most devastating, powerful, and effective campaign videos I've seen this cycle in a State Senate race.  Mike Kaplowitz's campaign is out with a new ad that hammers Greg Ball for his putrid record on women's rights.  He effectively paints Ball as someone with a deep-seeded problem with women in both his personal and professional conduct.  Check it out, and you can read a transcript of the video over the fold.

BingChester :: SD-40: Greg Ball Has an Issue with Women
Where does Assemblyman Greg Ball stand on women's issues?

His ex-girlfriend took a protective order against him and he stalked her to another country.

A waitress accused Ball of groping her.

And not only is Ball against a women's right to chose, he voted against giving us equal pay.

The question isn't where Greg Ball stands on women's issues, it's why does Greg ball have an issue with women?

And one more question; how on earth can someone like that represent us in the State Senate?

Greg's got an issue with women? How about the whole NY GOP? (0.00 / 0)
I'll take the question posed here a step further and I'm not even going to talk about Carl Paladino.

Does the New York Republican Party itself have an issue with women if they allow their party to be tainted by such a repulsive character? They whine about Charlie Rangel, who's biggest crime is his selfishness, and then they cheer this creep on their website?

Rockland and Orange County residents should note that Scott Vanderhoef, who is also running for State Senate on this side of the river, is supporting Greg Ball in his race. He's even chosen to "like" Greg Ball's campaign page on Facebook. Is Scott Vanderhoef really looking forward to serving with someone like Greg Ball? It should give women in Rockland and Orange Counties a a moment of pause before they pull the lever for Vanderhoef.

Seriously, how can other candidates for State Senate stand with Greg Ball?

Not just NY (4.00 / 1)
When the Republicans go on the attack, they try to single out women.

During the Clinton administration (and ever since), they went after Hillary.  Lately they've gone after Nancy Pelosi.  In between, when they didn't like some of what the 9/11 Commission was doing, they went after Jamie Gorelick -- the only woman on the commission.

Their ideal woman to put in the front is someone who looks very pretty and sounds like an ignorant jackass -- Sarah Palin and Christine O'Donnell, as well as what's-her-name on Fox (I don't watch, so I can't remember the names).  Note how you're not seeing any real Republican support for Carly Fiorina or Meg Whitman in California, or Linda McMahon in Connecticut -- that's because those women actually choose to use their brains (just because politicking isn't their best asset doesn't mean they're not extremely bright).
