DFA Training Academy - Day 1

by: Andrew C. White

Sat Jun 23, 2007 at 09:33:07 AM EDT

(Bumped. - promoted by phillip anderson)

Good Morning from Albany!

Matt Blizek just finished his kickoff remarks and overview of the weekends training agenda. Folks are breaking for coffee and conversation.

It is a packed weekend with everything you need to know to run an effective campaign from local town or school board to a congressional campaign.

Andrew C. White :: DFA Training Academy - Day 1
Timelines, benchmarks, message, fundraising, tactical overview, media, more fundraising, more media work, canvass and phonebanking, mail, volunteer management, leadership development, precinct organizing, more fundraising... and  more.

There is still room, still coffee, and still time to come on down and spend a great weekend with the best sort of folks spending the weekend learning how to take our state and country back!

We are just starting the first session... Helen Strain from Planned Parenthood is here to talk about building your Field Plan... vote goals, targeting, and Field Strategy.

"If your field plan is not written down it does not exist."

52% (4.00 / 1)
52% folks. 50% + 1 is not enough. If you are building your field plan and counting your votes you need to calculate 52% of the vote as your target.

In the immortal words of Donald Rumsfeld there are "known unknowns and there unknown unknowns." We plan on extra in order to not be caught up short on election day.

Come on down. Coffee's hot! Companies good! Training is excellent!

Victory is sweet.

wish i was there. (4.00 / 1)

For those that can't attend in person (4.00 / 1)
I strongly suggest DFA Night School which is free and available via conference call...

and...

... the Night School DVD's as well as downloadable files available at the DFA website.

Everybodies favorite session (0.00 / 0)
of the day just started --- LUNCH!

Great event (0.00 / 0)
with solid information on how to do just about everything in a campaign.

And a way to tie attendees into a national network of progressive campaign types.

Thanks for bringing this to Albany, Andrew.
