A Picture, A Thousand Words

Maybe this is why the State Police feel they need tasers:

You, friend, are not invited.

Kinda says it all, no?

That's just pathetic. (4.00 / 2)
Remind me again why 95% of these clowns keep getting reelected?

Three Reasons (4.00 / 1)
Reason Number One: Most people don't pay attention to politics, don't care to understand how government works, and when they do catch on it's because of some right-wing think-tank soundbite that caters to humanity's most primitive qualities.

Reason Number Two: The people who do pay attention and become involved almost always throw their lot in with one of the two major parties, proceed to become too loyal for their own good, and for the rest of their lives proclaim that their side is "Winning" a la Charlie Sheen.

Biggest Reason:  Cold hard capitalist cash, generated by inhumane corporations, hoarded by greedy CEOs, and strategically placed into the political war chests, which to these scoundrels are just mini stock markets where all the investment returns really begin.

The only way to fight that cash advantage is with lots and lots of people over a long sustained period of time, boot on the ground, burning calories marching and going hoarse chanting, remaining adamantly peaceful but militantly steadfast.

A modest proposal (4.00 / 2)
Have a bunch of the protesters register as lobbyists; that way they can get "inside."

Tried, failed (4.00 / 1)
I just saw on the news (YNN) one protester who was a registered lobbyist being turned away for lack of a state ID.  Total.  Bullshit.

now, hold on one second.... (4.00 / 1)
...ya' gotta admit that if only for this one time and one time only, the senate can't be accused of being...dishonest!

; - )

on the plus side:  the senate is allowing the unwashed masses in the gallery.  will their un-esteemed colleagues in the assembly do the same????

d.

I Would Love To See (4.00 / 1)
A sign on a State Senate/Assembly or a Congressional/U.S. Senate door stating "LOBBYISTS:  NO ENTRY." Can we enter claiming we're lobbyists for the people of New York State?

where was this posted? (4.00 / 1)
Was this posted by a particular senator? If so...this needs to become election material. Any senator, no matter which party, that so brazenly disrespects the People who pay their salary and who put them into office by treating the People of the district as second-class citizens in favor of their "johns" (i.e. lobbyists)...deserves to be shamed out of office.

i'm certain it came (4.00 / 1)
from the majority leader's office. not a doubt in my mind.

TODAY is day one. It always is.
