A post on The Albany Project calling for volunteers from all NYS Counties to devote time to the 48th SD Special Election inspired my wife and I to make our very first road trip to this part of our beautiful state.
We arrived at the Econo-Lodge in Oswego after a seven hour drive from our Hauppauge LI home. This is the official campaign spot for all out of area volunteers to stay and they arranged a great special room rate for the campaign. This is a view of the river in Oswego from our room window that empties into nearby Lake Ontario:
