The Albany Project and the Daily Gotham are happy to join with our own NYBri and Silverleaf to welcome Retire Air Force Lt. Colonel and Candidate for California's 4th CD Charlie Brown to NYC on Monday, December 17th. We'll be hosting a fund raiser for Charlie at Prey in Manhattan. Charlie is a fantastic candidate and will make a great Congressman. It's also a great excuse for a party. I hope all of you in NYC will come on down and meet the candidate and share some Holiday cheer.
Born and raised in rural Iowa, Charlie spent 26 years in the Air Force and is a graduate of the U. S. Air Force Academy. A veteran of every U.S. conflict from Vietnam to Desert Storm, Charlie has dedicated his life to defending America around the world, and championing our values here at home.
In 2006, Charlie came within three points of unseating John Doolittle, an 8-term Republican incumbent under investigation by the Justice Department for his ties to disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff. The investigation has included an FBI raid on Doolittle's home earlier this year and subpoenas of staff members and documents.
